In all aspects of the education process it is important to evaluate the effectiveness of practices in order to inform the development of quality services.

Why should the Educational Psychology Service be involved in research and evaluation?
Psychologists are trained in a wide range of research designs and methodologies and are ideally placed to advise and undertake planned research and evaluation studies. Educational psychologists also facilitate schools in carrying out their own action research.
