Research, Counselling Evaluation

The educational psychology service evaluates the Counselling service which is currently available to all secondary school pupils. Pupils have accessed the service from across the age stages and for a variety of needs such as anxiety, low mood, stress and relationships.

The most recent data (2017 – 2019) reports that mean scores from the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) pre and post show statistically significant results in a positive direction.

At the end of their counselling sessions, young people report positively about their counselling experience.

Evaluation is ongoing.
